Junior Information

We enjoyed another successful season last year, with our total club registrations reaching around 150 players. Our retention rates remain extremely high, particularly once our players start moving from Junior Blast to Super 7 and Fast 9, and the increased focus on the development of our players was evident with strong on field performances from many of our teams, including our Under 12 side qualifying for finals, despite having a number of players new to

this age group.

This season, we will be fielding teams in U16, U14, U12, Fast 9 and Super 7, as well as continuing our successful Junior Blast program. This is the first time in many years that we will have representation in all divisions so it is another great sign of the sustained growth of our club.

We are also launching two new initiatives this season to help provide a great experience for children and families who may not have played cricket before

• Intro to Cricket for Girls

• All Abilities program

Our goals as a club remain:

• RECRUITMENT: continuing to recruit new players and families from the Rowville and surrounding area. We

welcomed many new players last season and we hope to see you return this year.

• RETENTION: players and families who return year after year are the lifeblood of our club. We introduced our ‘5

Year Awards’ last season to recognise our junior players who have been at Rowville for at least five seasons, and

we look forward to awarding more of these awards this season.

• DEVELOPMENT: ensuring that we are providing the right coaching and development opportunities so that all of our cricketers can be the best that they can be.

Many of our Under 12 to Under 16 players have already registered for our indoor pre season program, but there are
still several spots available, so please read on for more information and make sure you sign up as soon as possible.

Please read on for specific information about each age group and how you can register for the season ahead.

Finally, please forward this information to anyone you know who might be interested in cricket. We would love to welcome them to the club.

We look forward to welcoming you all back to Rowville for another great season ahead.
