HIGHEST SCORE: 84

BEST FIGURES: 5/34 off 10

Most Embarassing Cricket Moment: Trying to hit Steven Lee out of the park at Upwey 2nd ball in my first season in the 1st XI.  Still have nitemares…..

Cricketing Highlight: Top scoring in the Grand Final in Rowville’s first Topline premiership & Brian Lara’s 153* at Kensington Oval, Barbados in 1999!!!

Cricketing Low-Light: Losing the 2007/08 1st XI Grand Final to Monbulk after being in a great position and it will always be hardest to take to have Darren Hill named the Steven Lee medal winner against Rowville in another one of his GF performances.

Funniest Cricket Moment Witnessed: I wont rain on Chookas parade by noting the Lloyd Vs Seagull incident at Stud Park.

There’s been a few – Andrew Pepper hitting his own toes with a bouncer at Scoresby;

seeing Evo hit for one of the biggest Tommys of all time at Belgrave and the ball coming back with soot on it from the ashes of someones fireplace;

 and Bubba’s infamous warm-up at Upwey to face Cross & Grace absolutely blind drunk.

Top 3 ROWVILLE cricketing performances witnessed:

  1. Darren Hill’s effort in the Grand Final against Belgrave (2 of the greatest catches ever and as usual 20 overs 2 or 3 for not many) after being in hospital at 11:30am on that morning.
    Unfu$%enbelievable!!!
  2. Paul Evans 97* at Seebeck on a slow outfield against Bluebirds with an attack including Rodney Hogg and Tony Smith; and a couple of other very handy trundlers including Shane Taylor.
  3. Rick Ramsdales 100-odd in the semi final against Johnson Park in 2007/08 chasing 300 (hit about 8 X 6’s & the balance in 4’s).  Wow!!!!
